In my most recent work I am primarily interested in the subtleties of form and texture that reveal the drama inherent in natural forms, as well as the common visual relationships found in disparate ecological systems.

Rooted in the documentary tradition, my interests have evolved over the years from photographing people, events, and man-made spaces to a focus on the dynamic natural world.

My work as a photojournalist, freelance photographer and photography instructor led to an interest in using photography and other creative processes as a vehicle to engage others through creative practice. Currently, as a clinical art therapist I utilize various artistic mediums to assist clients in confronting a myriad of mental health issues. Working as both an art therapist and photographer informs and enriches both practices.
